Introduction

St. Xavier's High School in collaboration with parents and community shall develop in all students the knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes to empower them to become life-long learners and productive citizens in an ever-changing world. This will be accomplished in a climate that promotes high expectations, strives to meet individual’s needs, and values diversity

St. Xavier's High School recognizes the child as a natural learner, and knowledge as the outcome of the child's own activity. In our everyday lives outside the school, we enjoy the curiosity, inventiveness, and constant querying of children. They actively engage with the world around them, exploring, responding, inventing and working things out, and making meaning.

Childhood involves being socialized into adult society, acquiring and creating knowledge of the world and oneself in relation to others in order to understand, act, and transform. Each new generation inherits the storehouse of culture and knowledge in society by integrating it into one’s own web of activities and understanding and realizing its ‘fruitfulness’ in creating afresh. ’Child-centered’ pedagogy at St. Xavier's High School gives primacy to children’s experiences, their voices, and their active participation. This approach drives curriculum planning in keeping with children’s psychological development and interests. The plans, therefore, respond to physical, cultural, and social preferences within the wide diversity of characteristics and needs.

We provide a broad, balanced, challenging curriculum that will enable children to develop the skills, abilities, and qualities of thought which will include:
